British actor and Crystal Palace fan James Buckley has weighed in on Yannick Bolasie's move to Everton.
The 27-year-old winger joined Everton this afternoon in a deal which could net Palace up to £30 million, according to The Daily Mail.
And Buckley, best known for his role as Jay from The Inbetweeners, says he has no qualms about the winger's decision to leave, claiming he was not as productive as he perhaps should have been.
@BenS553 I'm cool with it. For the last few years I felt bolasie was lacking an end product but kept thinking it will come. But it didn't— James Buckley (@James_Buckley) August 15, 2016
By virtue of the fact he only netted 12 times in 122 Premier League appearances for the London club, it could be argued that Bolasie is something of an Inbetweener himself - bags of talent but there is a big gap standing between him and a world-class footing.
That being said, Everton do boast a richer vein of quality than Crystal Palace and playing alongside better players - such as Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku - could and should help the winger improve in the final third.
Everton fans will hope to get a glimpse of him when Ronald Koeman's side visit West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
