Don Hutchison has told ESPN that West Ham United will finish fifth in the Premier League this season.

When asked by ESPN where he thinks Slaven Bilic’s side will finish in the league table this season, the former West Ham midfielder said: “Fifth.”

It is quite a bold prediction from Hutchison, as there are a number of top clubs aiming to finish in the top six of the Premier League table this season.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal will see themselves as title contenders.

Tottenham Hotspur will also be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title, while Liverpool will be looking to push for the top four.

Everton, Southampton and Stoke City will be aiming for the Europa League spots, while Leicester City’s chances of having yet another successful season cannot be written off just yet.

West Ham are expected to have a strong 2016-17 campaign, but finishing fifth may not be possible.

The Hammers should be aiming for a Europa League spot, but if they end up in the top 10, that should be counted as a good season.

West Ham will kick off their 2016-17 Premier League campaign with a match against Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London on Monday evening.
