The Scottish Premiership side have made four first-team additions this summer.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
The Hoops have signed four senior players this month, while Kristoffer Ajer also completed his switch to the club, having already signed a pre-contract deal during Ronny Deila's time in charge.
Moussa Dembele has been one of four summer signings
And Rodgers has explained that following the acquisitions of Moussa Dembele, Kolo Toure, Scott Sinclair and Dorus de Vries with one more signing would be the icing on the cake for the Bhoys.
"If we could get one more player in that would be the ideal. If we do that we’d have had an incredible market in terms of what we've been able to bring in – the club couldn't have done any more. They have given me great support," he told the Evening Times.
Dorus De Vries is the club's latest signing
When the Northern Irishman arrived, it is safe to say that many were expecting a huge overhaul after Deila's tenure had ended in somewhat disappointing fashion - barring the success in the Scottish Premiership.
However, while several youngsters and fringe players have been moved on in some capacity, many members of the squad who had question marks lingering over their future remain.
Rodgers has seemingly been able to get the best out of James Forrest
Rodgers has already hinted with James Forrest that he has the man-management ability to turn his form around and get the best out of the talented winger, and he may have a similar level of confidence that he can do the same for some of the other members of the squad.
And having bolstered the existing squad with the quality that they have brought in over the summer months, it seems that Rodgers may not be too far off when he suggests that another signing could allow this window to be deemed a major success for the club.
