Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has revealed on social networking site Twitter that the club will make an announcement regarding a new player tomorrow.

Xia has stated that Villa will announce the signing of a new player after tomorrow’s match against Huddersfield Town.

The Villans will take on Huddersfield at Villa Park in the Championship tomorrow evening.

Villa have reportedly identified a replacement for 26-year-old defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

The Senegal international left the Championship club for Premier League outfit Everton earlier this month.

According to Mercato365, Villa have approached Angers midfielder Cheikh N’Doye. It has been reported that the 30-year-old Senegal international midfielder has been granted permission to leave by his French club if a suitable offer is made.

According to Italian publication Tuttosport, Villa have agreed a fee of £14.7 million (€17m) for Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara (click here to read more).

It has been reported that Diawara, who is 19 years of age and has been at Bologna since the summer of 2015, is considering the offer made by the former Premier League club.
