West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell said on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (broadcast from 10:30am, August 14, 2016) that Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season.

“If I was a betting man, I would put my money on City, I think,” said the 26-year-old left-back when asked to pick his Premier League title winner.

Cresswell is probably not the only Premier League rival to back City for the title this season.

City have a very strong squad and one of the best managers in the world of all time in Pep Guardiola.

The Citizens have made a positive start to the season as well, getting the better of Sunderland at home at the weekend.

The 2-1 victory over the Black Cats at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening was not exactly spectacular, but there were some very encouraging signs in terms of the type of football that City are expecting to play under Guardiola.

As for West Ham, the London outfit are not expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season or even for a top-four finish.

However, the Hammers should aim for a Europa League finish yet again and should look to go on a good cup run as well.
