Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has told the club's official website that he is already looking forward to his next Spurs game after impressing on his debut.

The Netherlands hitman replaced Eric Dier on 56 minutes in Tottenham's 1-1 draw away to Everton on Saturday and really looked the part.

Janssen, a £17 million signing from AZ Alkmaar (figures reported by BBC Sport), was a touch unlucky not to mark his bow with a goal after forcing Toffees stopper Maarten Stekelenburg into a fine save.

And the 22-year-old admits that he has been bitten by the bug, revealing that he cannot wait for his next taste of action in a Tottenham shirt.

"I can’t wait to play again. It was fantastic, our fans were fantastic and it’s amazing to play here," he told the club's official website.

"You can’t compare it to Holland, the fans are so intense and so close to the pitch. They did well for us, they supported us and that helped us. I’m ready for everything."

He did look very sharp indeed and manager Mauricio Pochettino may want to see Janssen put a run of goals together.

If yesterday was anything to go by then Harry Kane, like he did at the beginning of last season, could struggle for form early doors and it's very beneficial for Spurs if Janssen could supplement the lack of goals.

The Lilywhites are back in action next Saturday when they host Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane.
