His recruitment has left him with a number of decisions to make across the pitch, with each position, bar left back, currently hotly contested.
And McManaman believes one decision he should make is dropping Firmino for Origi up front.
“I’d start him [Origi] in front of Firmino, but Liverpool have got an array of people to choose from now. There’s a lot of pressure for the players in every position,” he told BT Sport.

It will certainly be interesting to see what line up that Klopp goes with for the Arsenal game.
He has already hinted that he is not interested in rotation, meaning whatever team he picks could be the only he sticks with for much of the campaign, injuries depending.
It would not be surprising to see Origi given his chance to stake a claim for a permanent place, with his development under Klopp having been one of the most impressive so far.
