Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho celebrates scoring their first goal
Liverpool duo Simon Mignolet and Georginio Wijnaldum have taken to Twitter to react to the win over Arsenal.
The Reds travelled to the Emirates on Sunday as they looked to begin their Premier League campaign with a win.
They did just that, putting on a fine attacking display as goals from Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane saw them to a 4-3 victory.
Their performance sparked wild celebrations with manager Jurgen Klopp after Mane put his side 4-1 up.
And they continued those celebrations on Twitter as both Mignolet and Wijnaldum shared their delight at their opening day success.
It now remains to be seen if Liverpool can build on this impressive performance and enjoy a strong campaign this year.
They are many people’s dark horses this season, and this display will have gone a long way to convincing people that they could be set for a top four finish or better.
If they are to do so though they will need to improve defensively, with this game showing that they still need to work on improving in that department.
