According to Gianluca di Marzio, West Ham are fighting with Fiorentina for Hadjuk Split youngster Josip Maganjic.

The Hammers have been busy this summer, as they have sought to improve their squad after an impressive first season under Slaven Bilic.

Improving their forward options was a clear target, with Andre Ayew and Jonathan Calleri both arriving at the Olympic Stadium.

They have also looked to the future, securing the capture of striker Ashley Fletcher from Manchester United earlier in the transfer window.

And it appears that they have another youngster in their sights, with them now being linked with a move for Hadjuk Split’s Josip Maganjic.

According to Gianluca di Marzio, they are fighting it out with Fiorentina for the 17-year-old’s signature this summer.

They report that the Hammers are currently leading the race for him though due to the influence of compatriot Slaven Bilic on the young attacker.

The Serie A side are keen on his signature though and it will be interesting to see which club he would pick should they both make a firm offer at any point.
