Wolves are on the verge of completing a deal for midfielder Prince Oniangué, after his agent confirmed on Twitter he is set to seal a switch.

Oniangue's agent Bakari Sanogo posted a tweet, tagging Wolves in the text, backing up claims a deal was already imminent.

Oniangue, 27, is set to become Wolves' fifth signing since the takeover by Chinese investment group Fosun International.

The Congo international currently plays for French side Reims, and was reported by French newspaper L'Equipe over the weekend to be closing in on a move. The paper reported he was set to finalise terms on a three year deal.

Oniangue's potential arrival is more good news for Wolves at a time when hopes are high, having recorded their first Championship win of the season this past weekend.

The central midfielder netted four goals for Reims in 23 starts last season, recording an average of 1.4 tackles per game.
