The Scottish Premiership may have started, but Celtic were in International Champions Cup action on Saturday evening.

Celtic took on Italian club Inter Milan at Thomond Park in Limerick. The Glasgow giants lost the match 2-0, thanks to goals from Eder and Antonio Candreva.

Prior to the match, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and Inter boss Frank de Boer was caught on camera having a nice little chat (see photos above and below).

Celtic will now turn their attention towards Wednesday’s home game in the Champions League qualifiers.

The Bhoys will take on Hapoel Be'er Sheva at Celtic Park in the first leg of the Champions League qualifying playoff tie.

The Scottish Premiership giants will head into the game as favourites and with confidence, despite the defeat to Inter.

However, Celtic should not get complacent and have to make sure that they do not concede an early goal.

Celtic kicked of their 2016-17 Scottish Premiership campaign with a 2-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian away from home at the Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh last weekend.

The Hoops then got the better of Motherwell 5-0 at Celtic Park in the second round of the Scottish League Cup last Wednesday.
