Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolasie
Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson suggested on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, August 13, 2016) that Yannick Bolasie would be a good signing for Everton.
It has been reported that the DR Congo international winger is travelling to Merseyside to have a medical.
Everton will reportedly have to pay as much as £30 million as transfer fee in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old.
Merson has suggested that Bolasie would be a good signing for Everton and has outlined what he will bring to Ronald Koeman’s team.
“On his day, he is a match-winner,” said Merson on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, August 13, 2016) while discussing whether or not Bolasie would be a good signing for Everton this summer.
“I think what he does do away from home: takes the ball off the pitch, takes a lot of pressure off the back-four in football matches, and that goes unnoticed.”
Bolasie scored five goals and created 23 chances in 26 Premier League appearances for Palace last season.
During the 2014-15 campaign, the former Bristol City winger scored four goals and created 45 chances in 34 league games for the Eagles.
The 27-year-old featured in Palace’s Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
