Things took a turn for the worse for Carvalhal’s side on Saturday as the player refused to play in the clash with Norwich City, according to Sky Sports.
However, the Portuguese boss has insisted that the player will not be leaving and his chairman has assured him of the fact.
“It isn’t polite for clubs to make offers after we have said we will not sell,” he told the Times.
“There is no problem at Sheffield Wednesday: the chairman said again that he will not sell a player under contract. The player will stay. There is no chance that he will go.”

It now remains to be seen if Forestieri does remain at Sheffield Wednesday this summer.
There is no denying that he is key to their dreams of making a return to the Premier League but they may be wary of having an unsettled player in their ranks.
As always, much will likely rest on how big an offer that his prospective suitors make, with a big money bid sure to at least tempt the Owls.
