West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has told Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday show (broadcast from 10:30am on Sky Sports 1, August 14, 2016) that Slaven Bilic has warned them they must work harder at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have moved to their new stadium this summer, departing Upton Park at the end of last season.

There is no denying that it is a major upgrade on their old home, with the club hoping it is the first major step towards them becoming a top side both domestically and in Europe.

While they are enjoying their new surroundings, away sides are equally impressed, with Mark Noble already telling the Daily Star that they must be wary of team coming to the stadium looking to create an upset.

And it seems that Bilic is equally keen to echo that sentiment, with Cresswell revealing he has already held a meeting with the squad to discuss it.

“It’s going to be one of the best grounds in Europe,” he told Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday show (broadcast from 10:30am on Sky Sports 1, August 14, 2016)

“[But] the gaffer had a meeting the other week and said, 'This doesn’t get you points, we’ve got to work harder even more'."

It remains to be seen how West Ham fare in their first season at the London Stadium.

They appeared to have no problems acclimatising to their new surroundings earlier this month when they comfortably over come NK Domzale in the Europa League qualifier.

It is likely going to take some time for them to adapt though, and Bilic will be hoping that visiting teams don’t take advantage of that fact.
