Sunderland completed the loan signing of Adnan Januzaj yesterday. The Manchester United talent was told by Jose Mourinho that he had no place in the first-team at Old Trafford for this season and that it was best he spent 2016-17 out on loan to help his progress.

He will be reunited with his former Manchester United boss David Moyes at the Stadium of Light.

The Belgian international first made his breakthrough at Old Trafford under the guidance of Moyes and will be hoping his reunion with the Scot can see him back to form.

That form was once very evident to Sunderland.

Januzaj made his full debut for Manchester United on the 5th October 2013 – featuring against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

It was a game that he will never forget.

He netted two brilliant goals in the game as United battled to a 2-1 win over the Black Cats.

It was after this game that the hype around Januzaj really hit hyperbolic status.

Since then he has struggled to find his best form and will be hoping that a return to his happy hunting ground will see him become a Sunderland and Premier League hit.
