Newcastle have been linked with a move for Knockaert in the summer transfer window.

According to a report in The Chronicle earlier this week, the Magpies could return with a bid for the winger before the end of the summer transfer window.

Brighton signed Knockaert from Belgian club Standard Liege in the January transfer window.

The former Leicester winger was an instant hit for the Seagulls and helped them finish in the Championship play-offs last season.

The 24-year-old scored five goals and created 29 chances in 20 Championship appearances for Brighton during the 2015-16 campaign.
