The BBC reported this week that Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani is in talks to buy a major stake in Leeds United.

They report that the deal for him to take control of a vast stake at the club is close, but that it might not mean the end of Massimo Cellino’s involvement with the Yorkshire club.

However, the Yorkshire Evening Post then carried quotes from the man himself, in which he downplayed any imminent takeover of the Yorkshire club.

Leeds fans have been hoping to see Cellino’s ownership of the club end for some time now.

The mercurial Italian has been criticised for his running of the club and the struggles that have come along with it.

But Leeds fans always remain cautious when it comes to takeover rumours. That habit goes back to the days of Ken Bates, a fairly universally unpopular former Leeds chairman, and has continued through the GFH and Cellino eras.

It has even found itself its own term on Twitter, TOMA, meaning ‘Takeover My A**e’ – as Leeds fans deal with the constant takeover rumours with their usual dry humour.

So here is how Leeds fans have reacted to the most recent takeover rumours…
