Dorus de Vries has left Nottingham Forest to join Celtic.

Nottingham Forest and Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the transfer of Dorus de Vries.

As announced on Celtic’s official website on Saturday evening, the Scottish Premiership giants have signed De Vries from Forest. The 35-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Bhoys.

The Dutchman is a very experienced goalkeeper who had been on the books of Forest since the summer of 2013.

During the 2015-16 campaign, De Vries kept 11 clean sheets in 43 Championship matches for Forest.

Back in 2014-15, the goalkeeper made just four Championship appearances for the Reds.

During the 2013-14 campaign, the Dutchman kept one clean sheet in three league matches for Forest.

Craig Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Scottish Premiership giants Celtic, but De Vries, who worked with Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers at Swansea City, will be expected to fight for the number one spot.
