Celtic lost 2-0 to Inter Milan in an International Champions Cup friendly on Saturday evening.

Eder fired the Nerazzurri ahead on the stroke of half time, before Antonio Candreva doubled the advantage on 71 minutes.

Celtic's domestic campaign has already started and manager Brendan Rodgers elected to field an under-strength XI versus the Italian giants.

That being said, many of the players gave very good accounts of themselves but two Bhoys seemed to stand out on the night.

Defender Kristoffer Ajer - signed by Ronny Deila prior to his sacking - was given a chance to impress, while Ryan Christie also enhanced his credentials.

With the summer transfer window still open for business, there is a chance that some of the players who featured today may not be with Celtic by the time it shuts.

Centre-half Ajer will definitely stay with the Scottish champions this season, but there was less certainty around Christie, another Deila signing who was immediately loaned back to Inverness last year but injury saw him return to Paradise.

Based on this showing, though, Rodgers will certainly want to keep the 21-year-old midfielder, while fans raved about both of them on Twitter afterwards.
