JPMorgan to liquidate Japan fund

JPMorgan Funds will liquidate its Japan Market Neutral Fund after investor withdrawals from poor performance, according to letter to investors, a copy of which was obtained by Bloomberg News.

Bloomberg News reports that assets fell to ~$17m as of August 4; fund lost a cumulative 16% since inception, according to the firm’s website. Keiko Kobayashi, a JPMorgan spokeswoman in Tokyo, confirmed the liquidation.
