Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that he is not looking to invest in Leeds United at the moment.

Earlier this week, BBC Sport reported that Radrizzani is in talks to buy a major stake in Championship side Leeds.

The businessman, one of the founders of global media rights firm MP & Silva, was photographed with currently Leeds owner Cellino at last weekend’s Championship game between the Whites and Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road in London, as reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post.

It was also reported that the Italian was in the directors’ box at Elland Road for Leeds’s recent pre-season friendly match against Atalanta.

Radrizzani, though, has played down speculation that he is set to take over the club from fellow Italian Cellino.

“I don’t have any update to provide related to Leeds,” Radrizzani told The Yorkshire Evening Post regarding his reported interested in Leeds. “At the moment there is nothing concrete and (only a) simple conversation to understand the club better.”

Leeds kicked off their 2016-17 Championship campaign with a 3-0 defeat to QPR away from home at Loftus Road last weekend.

The West Yorkshire outfit bounced back with a penalty shootout victory over Fleetwood Town away from home in the first round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.

Garry Monk’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Birmingham City at Elland Road in the Championship.
