Here is how we predict Hull City and Leicester City will line up this weekend.

Odds: Hull 10/3, Draw 9/4, Leicester 19/20

Leicester City start their defence of their Premier League crown with a trip to Championship playoff winners Hull City in what will be a fascinating game at the KC Stadium.

The Foxes’ reputation across Europe has soared since being crowned champions last season, yet this summer they have so far avoided the temptation of bringing in those big-named high-profile stars.

Instead, boss Claudio Ranieri has gone with the tried and tested method of targeting players who seemingly fit the Leicester profile, with hard work and determination two key attributes they search for.

N’Golo Kante is a big loss with the midfielder joining Chelsea, yet the Foxes have retained the services of Jamie Vardy and thus far Riyad Mahrez while adding the likes of Nampalys Mendy and Ahmed Musa.

As for Hull City, they’ve endured a damning pre-season with boss Steve Bruce opting to walk out due to the club’s failure to bring in new players and an injury to Michael Dawson setting them back.

It has been quoted that the club enter the new Premier League season with only 13 fit senior players - making them one of the clubs tipped by most observers for relegation come the end of the season.

Mike Phelan will take charge of the Tigers’ game against Leicester, and the early kick-off means all eyes will be on them to see how they cope with the intensity and directness which the Foxes will offer.

Here is how we predict the two will line up, with Claudio Ranieri’s side opting for two new signings including Luis Hernandez in place of the suspended Robert Huth.
