Aston Villa suffered an embarrassing defeat to Luton Town last night, beaten 3-1 by a team two divisions below them.

Their loss caught the attention of rival winger Jordan Graham of Wolves who took to Twitter to express his surprise at the scoreline and performance.

Wolves won their game this week, avoiding a similar banana skin against Crawley Town, emerging as 2-1 winners.

Villa lost their opening league game this weekend 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday, with big new signing Ross McCormack featuring in both matches.

McCormack was substituted after an hour against Luton, and was unable to make an impact.

Their form is continuing their dire season from a year ago, and is one of the season's early talking points.

Jordan Graham may have been taken aback at Villa's defeat, but it was normal last season, and the players seemingly just cannot shake their bad habit of losing matches.
