While not many expect English champions Leicester City to repeat their exploits of last season, the Foxes should be able to do well during the upcoming campaign due to the fact that they have made some very good signings this summer.
The likes of Ahmed Musa, Nampalys Mendy, Bartosz Kapustka, Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez have all been acquired by Leicester so far and the addition of such quality players means that the Foxes could well be challenging for a top-four finish during the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Manager Claudio Ranieiri is not done with his business in the transfer market as of yet though, and a number of players continue to be linked with a move to the King Power Stadium.
Now according to reports from Mediaset Premium, claims have been made that Leicester are interested in signing Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes and that the Premier League defending champions have already placed a bid of around £18.9 million for the 22-year-old.
Paredes is a promising young player who enjoyed a fine loan spell at Empoli last season and as a result of his exploits, the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Juventus, Monaco and Schalke have all been credited with an interest in the young midfielder (Talksport).
Leicester have now joined the race for Paredes and the Foxes seemingly have stolen a march on their competitors by placing a sizeable bid on the table.
