The upcoming campaign is gearing up to be one of the most competitive in Premier League history, with several elite managers taking charge of the big sides.
Jose Mourinho has turned up in Manchester to compete with Pep Guardiola once again, while Antonio Conte has been brought in at Chelsea.
Arsene Wenger will be keen to show Arsenal can still compete, while Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City will be hoping to build on their impressive campaigns.
Add in outsiders such as Liverpool, West Ham United and potentially Everton and the race for the top four could be scintillating.
And Parlour has offered his prediction of who will make it in, and it is bad news for Tottenham and Liverpool, as well as the current champions.
“In first place I’m going to go with Manchester City,” he told talkSPORT.
“Second I think it’s definitely out of Manchester United and Chelsea and I will go for the Jose Mourinho factor. Chelsea are dark horses so I’ll put them third. My old club [Arsenal] I’ve got to put them fourth.”
It will certainly be interesting to see which teams make it into the top four this season, with big sums being spent by all.
It is likely to be a race that goes down to the wire, and perhaps we will see some major managerial casualties among those who fail to make it in.
