Pundit expects Tottenham to draw with Everton.
Paul Merson - All Stars XI
Former Premier League footballer Paul Merson has explained why he expects Tottenham to fall short of a title challenge for 2016/17.
The pundit told SkySports he believes their squad is simply not strong enough to compete with the other contenders in the league across the course of the season.

He said: "For Spurs, it depends if there is a hangover from Euro 2016 for players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Tottenham have a team already but I feel they need to add more to their squad because they're a bit light.
"I don't think they've done enough yet to go on and win the Premier League."
Merson added that he believes the score this weekend against Everton will be 1-1, with Ronald Koeman's side representing a stern test.

Either side would not be dispirited by that result given the quality of opposition, but a win would lay down a serious marker for the campaign ahead and in Tottenham's case, show they are serious title contenders.
Tottenham this summer have signed Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen, but have fallen short of adding a third player so far, but there is still time remaining in this transfer window to do so.
Spurs finished third last year in the Premier League, one place below rivals Arsenal. Merson has predicted them to finish sixth in this campaign, he told SkySports earlier this week.
