Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the press today, ahead of the club’s opening game of the Premier League season against Everton at the weekend.

At this time of the year however there was always going to be questions about potential transfers.

One deal that has been dragging on for weeks now is that of Georges-Kevin N’Koudou. The Marseille winger has long been linked with a move to Spurs but, as reported by ESPN, Pochettino refused to comment on any specific deal for the French under-21 international.

However, he did go on to discuss transfer dealings in general.

The Argentine stated:

"We are open to adding one or two players. Or maybe no one! For us, it's important to respect the process.

"If we have the possibility to sign some players that can improve us, we're open, but it's difficult to find the right profile for the way we work and our philosophy. It's a difficult market for us."

It was reported this morning by L’Equipe that Spurs might be able to resurrect the move for N’Koudou, which had been reported dead, with a potential loan move.

Spurs are said to be in the market for a winger and N’Koudou appears to be the man that they want.
