Manchester United have sold Paddy McNair and Donald Love to Sunderland.

Sunderland sealed the signings of Manchester United duo Paddy McNair and Donald Love earlier today, the club announced on their official website.
Love made his first start for the Red Devils in a loss at the Stadium of Light earlier this year, but McNair was the more high profile of the two and a Northern Ireland international.

McNair broke through into the United first team in Louis van Gaal's first season in charge, and established himself as a useful squad player for the Red Devils.
With United not blessed in terms of depth defensively it is a little of a surprise to see them willing to allow McNair to allow so easily, but manager Jose Mourinho evidently felt letting the defender leave was the fairest decision.

McNair in particular could be a useful signing for Sunderland, with the Black Cats at risk of losing defender Lamine Kone to Everton, The BBC report.
He is just 21-years-old and can feature in midfield as well as defence, and United will hope they do not go on to regret letting him leave.

Might have paid £89 million for Pogba but just received more money for McNair and Love than we paid for Zlatan. Transfer geniuses #mufc
