Sheffield Wednesday's Atdhe Nuhiu looks dejected
Nuhiu, 27, had spells with Wels, Austria Karnten, Reid, Rapid Vienna and Eskisehirspor before signing for Wednesday in 2013 – and having hit just two goals in 28 games for Turkish side Eskisehirspor, the striker arrived with a point to prove.

Standing at a giant 6ft 6in tall, Nuhiu has unsurprisingly been used as a target man at Hillsborough, and he's been able to show off his strength and aerial ability, even though he's often frustrated Owls fans.
The Austrian striker has hit just 23 goals in 142 games for Wednesday, and whilst he's offered Wednesday a focal point in attack, he hasn't found the net as regularly as the Owls would have wanted.

Now though, Nuhiu appears to have attracted some interest – and from some huge clubs. Dutch football magazine ELF Voetbal report that Ajax are keen to sign Nuhiu in what would be a huge shock, but Bundesliga sides Hamburg and Werder Bremen are also believed to be interested.
Ajax have lost star striker Arkadiusz Milik to Napoli, and new manager Peter Bosz is in the market for a new striker before this month's transfer deadline, with Nuhiu believed to be one striker on a 15-man list for the Amsterdam club.

The report adds that German sides Hamburg and Werder Bremen are ready to battle Ajax for Nuhiu's signature, in a transfer race which is sure to stun Wednesday fans who have been frustrated with his performances in the Championship.
Nuhiu only signed a new contract in January, but if Ajax, Hamburg and Werder Bremen are all keen – which seems somewhat difficult to believe, unless they only want a specialist target man – the striker may find it hard to turn such a big move down.
