According to The Mirror, Liverpool are set to hand a permanent deal to trialist Juanma Garcia, who is formerly of Barcelona.
The Reds have strengthened their first team this summer with the signings of Loris Karius, Ragnar Klavan, Joel Matip, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum, but one area that Jurgen Klopp hasn't rectified is at left back.
Alberto Moreno has yet to prove himself as a consistent defender since signing from Sevilla back in 2014, whilst Jose Enrique has left the club and James Milner - who has been filling in at left back in pre-season - is injured, meaning a new left back should be targeted before the transfer deadline.
Now, Liverpool are on the verge of signing a new left back - but he appears to be one for the future rather than an immediate replacement for Moreno.

The Mirror report that Liverpool are set to hand a permanent contract to left back Juanma Garcia, who has been on trial with the club this summer.
Juanma, 19, came up through the ranks with Barcelona, playing for their 'Juvenil' sides before being released this summer, becoming a free agent as he headed to train with Liverpool.

The Spaniard, who can also play at centre back, has been training with Liverpool's Under-23 side and is expected to stay there, once he passes a medical this week.
Yet, with problems at left back and having been compared to Pablo Zabaleta by Liverpool's Under-23 coach Michael Beale, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Juanma could yet force himself into first-team contention if he continues to impress.
