Rangers manager Mark Warburton
Rangers cruised into the last eight of the Scottish League Cup by thrashing Peterhead 5-0 at Ibrox.
Mark Warburton's men put the disappointment of their draw with Hamilton on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season behind them by continuing their hugely impressive form in the competition - the Gers have won all five of their games without conceding a single goal.
Clint Hill bagged a brace in the win
After a goalless opening 19 minutes, Niko Kranjcar broke the deadlock to score his second goal for the club before another summer signing Clint Hill doubled that lead 10 minutes before the break.
And while an opposition player did get onto the scoresheet on this occasion, Fiacre Kelleher - who came through the youth ranks at Celtic - put through his own net to put the Light Blues 3-0 up just after half-time.
Joe Dodoo rounded off the win
Hill then bagged his second of the game before Joe Dodoo completed the rout just after the hour mark, perhaps proving a point to Mark Warburton that even if Martyn Waghorn is sidelined for a considerable period of time, there are more than enough goals within the team.
Rob Kiernan took most of the plaudits
After the game, some of the players took to Twitter to thank the supporters for their part in the victory. And while James Tavernier praised Dodoo for his goal, most of the squad were quick to congratulate Rob Kiernan as it was the centre-back who wore the captain's armband in Lee Wallace's absence.
