It was reported earlier this summer that Spurs were set to sign the French under-21 international Georges-Kevin N’Koudou from Marseille. It was even suggested he passed a medical with the London club, for a fee in the region of £10.95 million – as reported by TF1.

Le Phoceen reported yesterday that the negotiations over the deal, and for Clinton N’Jie to head the other way, were over.

This surely comes as good news to a Belgian star at Tottenham, but bad news for Swansea City.

Nacer Chadli has been linked with a Spurs exit recently – especially with N’Koudou seemingly White Hart Lane bound.

Sky Sports reported that Swansea City were targeting the Belgian international to strengthen their attacking options.

The Mirror later reported that Swansea were planning a £15 million club record bid for the player.

However, considering the lack of options Spurs currently have, and with N’Jie seemingly surplus to requirements, Chadli is unlikely to be for sale at present.

This will come as good news to Chadli.

He could surely still have a future at Spurs if he can perform at his best level and impress Mauricio Pochettino.

However, should Spurs move for a different winger, Chadli to Swansea could be back on the cards.
