AC Milan's Carlos Bacca celebrates after scoring a goal
The agent of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has told Tutto Mercato Web to 'wait and see' having been asked about a deadline to join West Ham United.
Bacca, 29, joined Milan from Sevilla last summer having smashed 49 goals in 108 games for the Spanish side, becoming one of the most deadly strikers in European football in the process.
Bacca didn't stop his scoring there though, as the ex-Club Brugge man starred for Milan last season, hitting 20 goals in 42 games in all competitions to again prove his worth as a guaranteed goalscorer.
Intriguingly though, Bacca's exploits have triggered interest in his signature once again, with West Ham United believed to be keen on signing the Colombian star.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that, despite signing Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew on Monday, West Ham still want to sign Bacca in a £20m deal, with the striker looking to double his £60,000-a-week wages and earn the same as Hammers star Dimitri Payet.
West Ham's summer-long search for a striker - preferably Bacca - may be alive, but Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport reported earlier today that West Ham are pressing Bacca for a swift answer with just weeks to go until the transfer deadline.
Now, Bacca's agent, Sergio Barila, has been asked about the situation by Tutto Mercato Web, and said to 'wait and see what happens' when quizzed about the alleged deadline of Friday for Bacca to decide on a move to the London Stadium.
"At the moment everything is closed," said Barila. "A Friday deadline for West Ham? I can’t talk about it, let’s wait and see what happens," he added.
Do you think Bacca will sign for West Ham?
