The Northern Echo has reported that Newcastle United would accept a £4 million bid for Tim Krul as Juventus come back in for the goalkeeper.
The 28-year-old will be available to leave Newcastle for free next summer if manager Rafael Benitez does not sell him either this month or in January.
The Northern Echo has reported that the Italian champions are keen on the Dutchman, two years after being quoted £20 million to sign him.
However, the report now claims that the North-East outfit would be prepared to accept just £4 million for fear of losing him on a Bosman.
It goes on to suggest, however, that Juventus will not make a move until Krul successfully comes back from the cruciate ligament injury which sidelined him for most of last season.
With Krul not due back until October, it is likely that Juve will sit on the deal until January.
If there's one position Newcastle are sound in, it's goalkeepers. In addition to Krul, Benitez also has Karl Darlow, Rob Elliot - who is injured - and new boy Matz Sels competing for the Spanish manager's affection. Sels started Friday's 1-0 defeat at Fulham in their Championship curtain raiser.
