Paul Pogba has revealed to MUTV that he is looking forward to linking up with teammate Jesse Lingard again after his big money move back to Old Trafford.

The duo have a storied history together at United and have a solid friendship. They were part of the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2011, with both playing huge roles over the two legs of the final.

Pogba would only go on to play only three Premier League games before moving to Juventus a year later following that success.

But now back, he has expressed his excitement about linking up with his good friend on the Old Trafford pitch once again.

“Yes,” he replied speaking to MUTV when asked if he was looking forward to playing with Lingard.

“I always keep talking [to Lingard], I’ve always kept in touch with him. I’m very happy for him and what he’s doing. I’m proud of him.

“I know he went on loan, he was playing and then he went on loan again but it was just Jesse Lingard scoring goals as always. I’m very happy for him.”

Last season Lingard began to truly establish himself at his boyhood club and under Louis van Gaal, made 25 appearances and scored four goals.

The 23-year-old has also shown he is the man for the big occasion in recent months. Netting the winner in last season’s FA Cup final and striking the opener after a superb solo run in Sunday’s Community Shield.

With Pogba, who won Serie A in each of his four campaigns in Italy and finished as a runner-up in the 2014-15 Champions League and 2016 Euros with his country, the two will be hoping they can achieve more success together at United once more.
