Paul Pogba sealed his world record transfer back to Manchester United this week, with the club confirming the deal via their official website.

The Frenchman left United in 2012 after playing for their under-21 side, joining from French side Le Havre in 2009.

Before he signed with Juventus, he made a big impression at United, who were frustrated not to have been able to keep hold of him.

One player delighted to see him back is Jesse Lingard, who has since risen through the ranks to become a key member of the first team squad, scoring the winner in the 2016 FA Cup Final.

Lingard sent Pogba a message on Twitter after the move was confirmed, expressing his excitement at being able to play alongside his pal once again - noting how they even share the same 'dabbing' celebration.

Lingard, who netted a superb individual goal in the Community Shield win over Leicester City, then uploaded a video of him back with old pal Pogba.

Lingard's friendship with Pogba should not be underestimated as a factor in helping the Frenchman decide to return to United.

He is also likely to be able to help get the best out of the midfielder, upon who there will be high hopes after his blockbuster transfer, with United aiming to mount a title challenge this coming campaign.
