Jamie Redknapp has told SkySports he views Tottenham as genuine title contenders this coming season.

Speaking to SkySports Morning View on Monday at 10am, Redknapp said that he is confident Spurs have all the pieces in place to mount a title challenge this coming season.

He said: "I don't think it will be difficult for them at all, I like what they've got, Pochettino has already got nucleus of squad.

"Tottenham are ready to go again. Janssen is a player I really like, a good squad player. Tottenham will go close this year. Dele Alli and Kane will be thriving again."

If Spurs can get Alli and Kane back to their best, where they netted 35 league goals combined last season, there is every chance they can get back in the title mix.

Spurs were tipped by many to overhaul Leicester for the league title last season, before they fell away with four games remaining.

That late run of form has stuck in the minds of supporters and management all summer, and made the team all the more determined to kick on this year.

Spurs begin the season with a tricky away fixture to Everton, but it is the Toffees who will be the more fearful team heading into the clash.
