Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen is continuously being linked with several moves away from the club.

The most recent team to be linked with his signature are Inter Milan.

It comes after the appointment of former Ajax coach Frank De Boer as the new Inter coach.

He takes the place of Roberto Mancini, who was sacked after a shocking 6-1 defeat to Spurs in pre-season.

It was reported by Calciomercato that De Boer’s first target as Inter boss is to sign Eriksen.

Of course the pair know each other from their time at Ajax together and Eriksen is a big fan.

Back in February 2015 the Dane spoke about the potential of De Boer to be a hit at Spurs, after he had been linked with a move to the club the previous summer.

He was quoted by Goal as saying:

"De Boer would be positive for each team, as he was as a player.

"His ideas, his implementation of those ideas and his mentality, at Tottenham, a club where the pressure is high, he would definitely do well."

So there is no doubt that Eriksen is a big fan of the new Inter boss.

As for De Boer, he told De Telegraaf this when Eriksen left for Spurs in 2013:

"His departure will be an enormous loss, Chris was very important for us.

"We always have worked in a good way. Players who are that good and also the ideal professional are, for a coach, the most ideal players."

Asked if he thought Eriksen would succeed in England, De Boer said: "It would surprise me if that won't happen."

Eriksen recently rejected a new deal at Tottenham Hotspur. As reported by the London Evening Standard the Danish international 24-year-old is keen on staying with the club, but is after an increase on the salary that has originally been offered to him.

Now, with his old favourite in charge at Inter, Spurs fans might be concerned.
