West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku has told the club’s official website that he is looking forward to playing with Dimitri Payet.

Masuaku officially joined West Ham from Greek club Olympiacos on Monday on a four-year contract, as announced on the London outfit’s official website.

As announced on West Ham’s official website, the Premier League outfit had to pay Olympiacos a transfer fee of £6.2 million in order to secure the services of the left-back.

The 22-year-old has revealed that he had wanted to come to the Premier League since he was 18 years of age.

The former France Under-19 international has also stated that he is looking forward to playing with Dimitri Payet.

Payet is arguably the best player at West Ham at the moment and was in stunning form last season.

The 29-year-old France international attacking midfielder scored nine goals and created 116 chances in 30 Premier League appearances for the Hammers during the 2015-16 campaign.

“It’s a big honour for me to be part of this club,” Masuaku told West Ham’s official website. “I was speaking with my agent about some opportunities, but when he told me about West Ham and also the coach, I didn’t think twice, so in my mind, it was West Ham.

“Now, to be able to play with players like Dimitri Payet, I was thinking on the way here, it’s going to be crazy! I can’t wait to play with him and also all the rest of the team.

“For me, the Premier League is the biggest league in the world. When I was 18, my target was to come here, so now I am here, I have to prove myself to the fans and to the team so that I can play for this big club.”
