Sunderland have announced that they will be giving their stadium a face-lift.
The process will be completed in phases, with the East Stand the first to receive new seats. The rest of the amendments will be completed gradually to "minimise any disruption to the stadium operations", safc.com reports.
For many years, the state of Sunderland's seats have been a point of ridicule from opposing fans, with the red seats turning into a faded pink.
However, travelling supporters will now need to find a new way to mock the Black Cats, whose stadium will be clad out with brand new seats, much to the excitement of Sunderland fans.
Sunderland have had a frustrating summer, with their only signing so far being the arrival of Papy Djilobodji from Chelsea. The Wearside team are expected to complete a deal for French midfielder Yann M'Vila, who spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light.
Many Sunderland fans were expecting the club to make an announcement today, but were not anticipating the massive news that they will no longer be sitting on 'pink seats' during their home games.
Instead of transfer news, Sunderland fans were treated to stadium news, and were quick to take to Twitter to express their delight at their new signings.
