His show of form and fitness comes as a massive boost to Bilic as he continues his search for a new striker in this summer transfer window.
And the Hammers boss says that if he can stay fit, Carroll is in line for a great season.
“If Andy plays like he did and score likes that there are not many players that can do that week in and out,” he told the Express.
“He proved once more that we are right to count on him. He is a top quality player. If he stays away from injuries then he has a great chance to have a great season.”

It remains to be seen if Carroll can maintain his fitness this season after a frustrating couple of seasons on that front.
There is no denying his quality when he is fit, as he showed in the second half of last season and in this game.
Should he manage to maintain it that would be a huge boost to the Hammers, whose weakest area is arguably up front at present.
