First up is news that the Hammers have signed French full-back Arthur Masuaku, as confirmed by the club's official website.

The acquisition of the 22-year-old will ease Slaven Bilic's left-back woes as they head into the new Premier League season.

The Sun reported today that West Ham are interested in bringing Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegaard to the club on a season-long loan deal.

Meanwhile, the Birmingham Mail claim that the East London club are closing in on the signing of Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew.

Elsewhere, reports emanating from Germany (Goal Germany) claim that the Hammers are interested in bringing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Moritz Leitner to the club.

The news of two youngsters leaving on loan this summer has been confirmed via the official club website, with midfielder Josh Cullen joining Bradford City on a six-month deal and 18-year-old defender Josh Pask linking up with Gillingham on a season-long loan.

And finally, in news that will not exactly be the cause for much excitement among the Hammers fanbase, West Ham are said to be keen on bringing Premier League veteran Peter Odemwingie to the club on a free transfer, according to the Sun (Print edition, page 68, Sunday August 7th 2016).
