Tottenham Hotspur attacker Heung-Min Son has begun to answer questions over his form - by finding it on duty with South Korea's Olympic team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man was substituted early in the woeful final game of the season against Newcastle, after which The Telegraph claimed he could be sold, and then failed to seize his chance to shine during the team's Australian tour in pre-season.

Now he is back on track, at the Olympics, where he has scored two goals in two games.

After helping South Korea to a 8-0 win over Fiji on Friday in which he scored, Son faced a tougher task last night against a Germany side which included Arsenal's Serge Gnabry.

Son rose to the challenge, scoring once and providing an assist in a competitive 3-3 draw.

He is next in action on Wednesday against Mexico, where his nation need a draw to progress to the next phase of the competition.

Son had seemed like a player low on confidence in a Spurs shirt in recent outings, and this could be just what he needs to lift his spirits.

When he arrived at Spurs last season he was bright and full of energy, and if they can get that player back, then the 24-year-old can potentially be a very important player for them this campaign.
