Sunderland manager David Moyes is willing to let Liam Bridcutt leave in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Moyes will let the midfielder leave Sunderland for Leeds United if a deal can be agreed upon by all parties.

According to a recent report in The Yorkshire Evening Post, the Championship club are interested in signing the 27-year-old defensive midfielder this summer.

“Meanwhile, Moyes will let midfielder Liam Bridcutt, 27, go to Leeds if they can sort out a deal,” states the report in The Sun. “He is talking about a permanent switch but may go on loan if that cannot be agreed.”

Bridcutt played on loan for Leeds from Premier League outfit Sunderland for most of the 2015-16 season.

The midfielder was a success at Elland Road (as proved by stats below), and he would be a good signing for the West Yorkshire outfit this summer.

Leeds will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.

The Whites will kick off their 2016-17 Championship campaign with an away game against Queens Park Rangers.

Garry Monk’s side will head into the match against QPR at Loftus Road in London with confidence.

Meanwhile, Sunderland’s main target in the upcoming 2016-17 Premier League campaign will be to avoid relegation.
