Nottingham Forest took on local rivals Burton Albion yesterday and won an exciting game 4-3.

Forest’s defending left much to be desired in the fixture but going forward they certainly looked more dynamic than they did last season.

One player who really impressed, ahead of what could be a big season for him, was Oliver Burke.

The Scottish youngster put in a fantastic performance on the flank, terrorising Burton’s defence with his electric pace and direct approach to the game.

Burke even found himself on the scoresheet, netting Forest’s third goal of the game.

It was a terrific performance from the player, who first made his breakthrough at the club under Dougie Freedman last term.

Burke played 21 times last season for Forest, netting twice, and he also earned his first international cap for Scotland throughout a terrific campaign.

This season Burke will be hoping to add some more starts, caps and goals to his record and based on the evidence of this game it seems doable.
