It is becoming one of the most protracted transfer sagas of the summer, as Tottenham Hotspur and Marseille look to do a deal that will see Georges-Kevin N’Koudou head to London and Clinton N’Jie return to Ligue 1.
The deal has been on the cards for weeks now but has been hit by delays and issues regarding the negotiations between the two clubs regarding the financials of the deal.

That, along with injury and visa trouble for N’Jie, has not helped the move go through smoothly.
Now Marseille’s current manager Franck Passi has commented on the progress of the transfer.
He is quoted by Foot Sur 7 as stating:
"The next arrivals? We must ask (director of football) Gunter (Jacobs).

“But it is true that we work every day to try to close the files, not only Clinton Njie. The objective is to try to have a team ready before the end of this month.
“Anyway, we will incorporate all arrivals will require that all players are ready physically. This is not easy but we're working every day for that. "
It is looking likely that this deal will go through in the coming days but it has certainly been a slow process.

A summer signing from from Lyon last summer, N’Jie has struggled at Tottenham. He has battled injury trouble and played just 14 times for Spurs in 2015-16 failing to hit the back of the net.
Spurs fans will be hoping that the seemingly incoming N’Koudou can have a more impressive time at White Hart Lane.
