The visiting team took the lead on the half-hour mark through Ali Crawford, and Martyn Waghorn equalised for Mark Warburton’s side just past the hour mark.
Former Newcastle United midfielder Barton, who joined Rangers in the summer transfer window after leaving Burnley at the end of last season, featured in the match.

The 33-year-old former Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers man started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Barton has taken to Twitter to send a strong message to the fans, claiming that Rangers will become stronger as a team over the course of the season.
The Englishman has also hailed the Rangers fans for the atmosphere they created at Ibrox during the match.
