Wolves signing Jon Dadi Bodvarsson made an early impact.

New Wolves signing Jon Dadi Bodvarsson made a strong early impression on his debut as he inspired a fightback against Rotherham.

Recently appointed boss Walter Zenga had a nightmare start as the side conceded twice in the early stages to give up a 2-0 deficit.

George Saville pulled a goal back before half-time and then Bodvarsson equalised after the break.

The Icelandic star won almost half of the online votes in the man of the man poll conducted online by the club.

He was followed by fellow new boy Joao Teixeira who also impressed on his Championship debut.

Bodvarsson signed early last week for £2.7 million from German side Kaiserslautern, where he scored only two league goals last season.

The attacker is already halfway there to reaching that figure, with 45 Championship games remaining. On this evidence he should be confident of reaching double figures.

His goal came from one of his two strikes, and was the only one which landed on target.
