Reports emanating from Greece today claim that Olympiakos left-back Arthur Masuaku is on the verge of joining West Ham. SDNA report that the 22-year-old Frenchman flew into London this morning to finalise a move to the Hammers.

Masuaku has made 65 appearances for the Greek outfit since his move to the Karaiskakis Stadium two years ago.

In other news, after the Hammers highly publicised chase for a striker they finally seem to have found someone, albeit not the superstar the fans craved.

The Londoners have reportedly agreed a £20 million fee with Swansea City for Andre Ayew, according to BBC Sport.

The Ghanaian is said to in the process of negotiating personal terms with the Hammers.

Another Swansea striker who could have been heading to East London was Bafetimbi Gomis. One of his representatives claimed that the Hammers were interested in securing his client's services, but hinted that they didn't quite try hard enough, as quoted by Le Phoceen:

Gomis ended up joining Marseille on a season-long loan.
