Aston Villa's Joleon Lescott goes off injured
Leeds United have been linked with plenty of players this week and a programme on TV Yorkshire tried its best to evaluate them this week.
It was reported on the show that Leeds United representatives have been in Belgium this week attempting to tie down a move for the 20-year-old left-back Alexis Scholl.

The Belgium under-19 international is, according to TV Yorkshire, seemingly on the cusp of finalising his move to Leeds on a loan deal.
The Benfica B player spent the second half of last season on loan at Gent and is now set for Yorkshire.
Leeds have also been linked with Joleon Lescott this week. The Telegraph reported the interest recently, as it looks likely Aston Villa could allow him to leave on a free transfer.

However, TV Yorkshire suggested that Lescott will not be targeted by Leeds, with his wages a major stumbling block. Similar problems may prevent a move for free agent Adrian Mariappa but Tottenham Hotspur youngster Dominic Ball could be pursued closer to deadline day.
Leeds need a new left-back – with Charlie Taylor handing in a transfer request and the club already short of naturally left-footed options in the position.

Scholl would therefore be a welcome recruit, even if Leeds fans will know very little about the youngster.
As for Lescott, after his recent performances for Aston Villa, not many a Leeds fan will be disappointed to hear this move won’t be pursued.
